“Expression of Talent and Celebration of Inclusion” by Mitra for Life

I recently attended the 5th edition of ADVAITA #UNLABEL5.0, an incredible event celebrating diversity and cultural expression hosted by “Mitra for Life“. It was a concert unlike any other, showcasing the power of inclusion through live music and dance performances.

A Day Full of Activities:

The event had two parts:

  • Afternoon (3-5 PM): Open Mic, Art & Expressions zone for children and youngsters. This area was buzzing with activity! Kids enjoyed bracelet making, thumb printing, origami, fruit salad plating, play activities, and even a nature walk with volunteers.
  • Evening (5-7 PM): Live Concert by talented “Mitra for Life” performers who were mentored by Percussionist and Founder of Udupa Foundation, Giridhar Udupa and playback singer Badari Prasad, orchestrated by Swetha Shashank, Theatre professional and Visual storyteller.

Memorable Moments:

  • I interacted with lovely kids, their parents, and the enthusiastic volunteers who helped everyone have a great time.
  • The venue, Shankara Foundation, was filled with stalls selling interesting items, delicious baked goods, and tasty snacks.
  • The Open Mic area was a highlight! The kids’ performances were amazing, and we could’ve stayed there all day if not for the concert starting!

Unforgettable Live Concert:

The live concert was truly incredible! It featured an inclusive lineup of artists from Mitra for Life Foundation and Udupa Foundation, showcasing their musical brilliance. We were treated to performances by talented artists like Ritvik Rajan, Adithya Venkatesh, Devesh Hanumanthraju, Aditya Mohan, Pravallika Bhagavatula, Sairam Anand, and Siddhartha Majumdar.

The music was followed by a captivating dance performance by Pravallika Bhagavatula and Sasha Laju. Their talent, passion, and dedication truly shined on stage.

A Heartwarming Experience:

Two powerful messages resonated with me throughout ADVAITA: the transformative power of inclusion, and the undeniable talent of the performers. Witnessing these elements come together filled me with a sense of joy, optimism, and a deep appreciation for Mitra for Life. As I departed, I felt joyous, with a smile on my face and hope filling my heart.

Many thanks to Mitra for Life for orchestrating such a splendid event! May your success continue, and may you keep inspiring positive change in the lives of so many.
